Volustor provides a consistent way to receive and organise photogrammetry, LiDAR, photographic capture, calibration data and existing 3D assets.

Raw Data Preservation

Keep the original capture as the permanent master

Processed meshes and textures or 3DGS renders are useful production outputs, but they are not the complete scan.

Volustor preserves the original source photography, LiDAR, calibration data and other capture inputs alongside every derivative. Because of that, teams can return to, reprocess or improve the asset later, rather than staying limited by the tools and requirements of the original production.

The work done during capture continues to retain value long after the first delivery.

Turn your iPhone into a connected capture device

VoluScan makes it easier to capture 3D data directly into the Volustor workflow, without depending on disconnected third-party scanning applications.

Using an iPhone or compatible mobile device, teams can capture subjects, objects and environments through a guided process designed to improve consistency and make scanning easier for both specialist and non-specialist users.

Teams can add project information, asset names, locations, categories and other important details at the point of capture. As a result, the data connects directly to the appropriate Volustor account and project instead of needing identification and reorganisation later.

This means each asset arrives with context already attached, creating a continuous and traceable path from the person performing the scan to the teams reviewing and using it.

AI-Assisted Enrichment

A scan becomes much more useful when people can understand what it contains without opening every file manually.

Volustor can analyse and enrich assets with descriptions, categories, keywords and production-relevant metadata. This may include information about the subject, environment, materials, capture method, location or visible features.

Search and Discovery

Find the right asset without searching through folders

As a scan library grows, conventional filenames and folder structures quickly become difficult to manage.

Volustor allows teams to search across projects using names, descriptions, tags, production information, capture metadata and the contents of the assets themselves. For example, a user might search for a particular character, prop, location, material or type of environment and discover relevant scans across multiple productions.

Scan data management also means provenance: version history, custody events, rights and access all live with the asset rather than in emails, spreadsheets and production notes.

A single capture may eventually produce multiple meshes, textures, splats, previews, exports and production-specific derivatives.
